History

Mr. Heffler recognized the importance of developing talent and building strong relationships with clients – a management philosophy that is still the cornerstone of our firm today.

The late Mr. Jacob Heffler founded our firm in 1941, shortly after completing a career with the FBI’s Bank Fraud Division under J. Edgar Hoover. His forensic accounting background and his understanding of the post-war economy led the firm to significant growth in servicing the business, legal and healthcare communities.

Mr. Heffler knew that being able to deliver high-quality, value-added services required a keen understanding of the ever-changing nature of a client’s business and personal concerns. Further, he believed that having the right knowledge and appreciation for complex accounting issues, tax laws and technology would help set Heffler apart from other accounting firms.

From the beginning, Mr. Heffler recognized the importance of developing talent and building strong relationships with clients – a management philosophy that is still the cornerstone of our firm today.  We continually evaluate and refine our technologies, processes and procedures to ensure we provide our clients with the most efficient and cost-effective services possible.
